You wont be getting any HD channels on the KV mate as its a SD box untill there bring out a HD box then your stuck with SD and i can't see KV team bringing one of them out just yet as there seem to be having a hard time bringing all the channels on the SD box.

VM Cable seem to use the same basic codec for both SD & HD (unlike sat & terrestrial, which use very different codecs for HD) but unfortunately the processing chip in the KV cant quite keep up with the faster HD bit rate. So, no HD on the present KV boxes !

Yes that makes sense I just get the feeling they are trying/testing something as were actually getting grainy lines with some clear lines. Who knows maybe a HD box is on its way. HD Codecs can be included in the next Software update? It's whether the chip can handle the faster bit rate?

To be fair I haven't had too many probs with KV box apart from to odd reset, re-scan.

          Cheers guys

There is no HDMI o/p on the standard KV box, just scart, so the only three qualities will be: Composite, RGB and s-video.

Unfortunately the chip can't, by quite a large margin !

HD, even when using the same codec as SD, requires a multi-processor computing element which the present KV boxes simply dont have.

movies are working but in some tw areas they have moved tp and standby scan cant seem to find them so you need to factory reset and rescan to get your movies back

of course, they are still bringing out s/w updates for the even older A750.
