Network/Net Id for Sutton (Surrey)? 40979 (Croydon) does not work...

    Hello All,

I got a Kryptview A780 box yesterday and have flashed it with the 3/1/11 firmware.

I am now struggling with the scanning.... I go to Automatic search then I choose my network (Telewest). I then start the scan. It then displays the List of Network ID, and I select 40979 (Croydon). After the scan only the freeview channels work. ALL other channels say 'Scrambled or No Video'.

I am in the Sutton, Surrey area and per the Area Net Id sticky 40979 is the one for Sutton.

I also tried some others (Crawley, Hayes, Lewisham, Southampton) but no joy.

Kindly help me with the correct net id / network for Sutton, Surrey.

    Thanks.

that firmware is too old to work, you need to update to the latest.do this first.
    menu-system installation--s/w update-ok
let box download and install the firmware, and dont touch anything until box reboots, then factory reset/rescan and if needed reboot box modem and router.

          Hello All,

Thank you for the quick replies.

I tried to update the software via remote yesterday but even after 10-15 mins the progress bar showed no progress so I aborted the update.

As alex123 has pointed out the update server is down now. Could it have been down yesterday as well? How will I know the update server is back again? Is it just a matter of keeping on trying to update the s/w and hope the update server is working?

          Thanks.
