Looking for a new box

Hi,

Been out of the scene for a quite a while now since v*rgin killed the old boxes in 2010.

I thought the scene was finished but clearly not. If I was to purchase a box now, what would be the best method/box and how reliable is it?

Until someone brings out a reliable HD cable box I would say the sat route is the way at the moment.

You would be better looking for a box that has a lot of support. ie dreambox or vu+ depending what you can afford.

been looking at the DM800HD but still trying to find out exactly how it works with the channels etc, as well as costs involved.

If you are new to satellite this box would be a hard one. Go cheap hd maybe openbox if you break it so what you have to experiment.

Yeah , realised that now, Im used to Kryptview so came here first, its only since this thread that has me thinking of dreambox, so will go and post a seperate thread there.

What if I try the DM500 I hear thats cheap and i'm guessing it wouldn't be too different to the DM800HD.

Anyways I guess I best do the posting in the dreambox thread.
