sw update via lan it is 29 nov latest he only stated the has uploaded the the latest firmware to date which is nov last year

This firmware is the same as the online update, he stated it's for people having problems with the online update.

It should also clear any boxes with the invalid MAC problem.

Its best to go back to FTA first to clear the network from the box, then an early network software like Jan 2011 followed by online update.

I've managed to shift a few invalid macs that way.

I can see where your coming from.

Yesterday I did an online update so I saved the file with current date. Once on the box it will probably show the original release date. The box is stored so I aint trying to find out.

As was said in the first post its in the download for anyone having trouble with online update.
