Flashed with PC null modem USB adapter - I will try it with a PC - will this make a diffrence? I am happy to try - Will let you know how things pan out - Thanks again.

boxes are supposed to be originally flashed by a null modem cable only with a pc and xp and serial port, not a usb adaptor which is a new thing on lappies and pc desktop.
there have been issues using usb adapter,so just covering all bases.

I have between 77% and 82% (ss) when I scan the odd one drops to 56%?

its jus doing my head in that it has never been watchable since day one! and running out of ideas?

Have you tried taking the F plug off your cable and stripping the wire back. Could be an iffy connection with a signal that low.

glitches on the fta also would suggest possible tuner fault then so contact supplier and load the fta on box before sending back.
