tuner is knackered or you have no signal coming into house ,try box in a m8s house that has a working virgin or kv box

yes, TV and broadband both come down the same cable

if you have broadband you will also get the tv signal and vice versa

if you lost the FTA channels then as alex suggested it probably is a signal or tuner problem, but as you have done a reset etc. its probably worthwhile starting from scratch.
check all ypur connections and make sure you scan on the proper provider
