kryptview a780 ethernet port

hi all

just wondering if anyone knows if its possible to buy and replace the ethernet port at the back of a kryptview a780 box.

from last week mine stopped working, ie no more internet connection proving by no more flashing light at the back of the box. Ive tried my apple tv with the ethernet cable which gets a signal instantly so the problem is deff with the kryptview box.

if anyone knows a company that i could send my box too to get a replacement port fitted it would be appreciated, thanks

A could try contacting the supplier but a bought the box over a year ago so I don't think they will show any interest in helping, I will try tho.

I not looked into the iconnector yet but does the connector not have to plug into the Ethernet port to get a connection? If not than that could be the answer

yeah near cheaper to buy a new box ever see the price of those iconnectors wow.

out of interest have you tried a reboot of network and box as in off for 30 secs then on.

yeah mate av tried all a can think ov, even went back to scratch by re installing with the null cable but no joy.

ASEK your right may aswell get a new box the price ov a connector, prob looking like a new box a think,

av had a year and a half ov viewing out ov it so its paid for itself so a cant really complain, its just its a shame that it comes down to cheap software to stop it working, hopefully the hd box if it ever comes out will be a better quality build

I believe you can load the A750 firmware onto an A780 so that it will function with an iConnector, assuming you can get hold of one (it would probably be cheaper to aquire another A780)

Not quite sure what that has to do with KV firmware but since you ask, no, i've not believed in the tooth fairy for many, many years.

any pc repair shop should be able to replace or repair the ethernet port for you however as you have an apple tv you may have apple router there has been compatability isses in the past so just to rule that out i would tru your box at another location on a non apple router ,an icon wont work with 780 and if i remember right if you load 750 sw into a 780 remote wont work
