remote problems

hi all
been having a few problems with remote,main one is box not responding to remote,sometimes it works for several selections then nothing,anybody got any ideas,

could be a loose connection or as before on older threads sensor moved and not picking up signal.i presume you did the remote test on camera or mobile phone while pressing buttons.

Change batterys,see with a camera(phone)if it emmiting.If not,open it and resolder.With a cloth and alchool clean it.Wait it to dry.

done all that,new batteries,led is lighting up on my blackberry camera,cleaned it,still not working correctly,i'm at a loss,is it the box or the remote,heeeeeeeeeeeeeeelp.

i am told there is a pick up senser on the front of box may be out of alignment.

okay,opened the box,cleaned remote receiver,tried it still same,next got the soldering iron out and just touched the multi core cable and plug pins linking the front display board to the main board and the three pins on the receiver,hey presto its working,couldn't see a dry joint with a magnifying glass but its working,couldn't swear to it but must have been poor joint,happy days,thanks again for all your help.
