ONLY HD CHANNELS SHOWING AFTER FACTORY RESET

Hi Fellow viewers.

Am concerned. Last two days completely lost signal for all channels.
Today carried out fact rest, and rescanned, router off, power on box off and rebooted router and box. I have done this several times and the only channels being picked up and stored on the box are HD channels...any suggestions whats going on ?

are you using a splitter by any chance

always scan from direct feed with coaxial cable and lan removed,correct netids used?insert lan and reboot if needed.

Hi, no splitter being used. Also the free-2-air channels are listed and working. Just every single known non-HD channel is missing. I have also searched under different areas and have tried manual tuning...but still no joy. :-(

I understand...I did infact only scan by coaxial. I wonder whether something has gone down in the area perhaps.

there is something wrong with your scanning settings or you tuner is faulty 0r net id can you try box to box transfer from another box and what box you have 780 or 790
and change your user name to hopetobthecableman

A780, never had problems before. I have now also noticed that Signal Strenght is Good, however the Signal Quality is virtually gone and sometimes bounces more or less full bar.

I have then tested NETID for way up north...guess what it is picking up some prem channels...very bizarre behaviour!

Also, does anyone know what the purpose is for the 'Data Dload' option under menu? when would you use this option?

Data D/l is box to box Software/channels

If you have a VM box correct NetID can be obtained from it,Setting - Tech Stuff - Network ID ?????
If no VM box say what area your at and someone maybe able to say what your NetID is

Factory reset scan from wall socket without splitter

Menu - System Info ---What date does it show.?

1819 is for Starview boxes

Everyone, thanks for all the advice's. I managed to resolve the problem, had to manually tune in all the different channels using NetID from a further location. It's doing the trick. Thanks Again. peace.
