New to KV, does it have callback?

Just got new KV box, reading up on here, but wondered when connected up and all cables connected does the original box need to still be connected or will this KV replace it?

Also isn't there an issue with callback or there lack off when using a KV?

All i can see is info on the loader etc, but just wondering what happens when its all connected up?

Do i need a splitter to keep the original vermin box online?

    Thanks

if you remove their box they will know as that has talkback, use it every now and again as they will see it in use, kryptview does not talkback.

      That's great thanks.

One other question, before I update the firmware, is there a way of backing up the current FTA firmware on the box as it is shipped?

I'd like to have something to go back to in case I mess it up while updating?

      thanks

So they know everybody who has a kv box fitted, I have a Virmin bb so what's stopping them from knocking on my door with the police for hacking the cable feed?

Can a splitter be used to have both the original box connected (but not used) and the KV connected at the same time?

Does the original box talkback only when it is switched on or will it talkback in standby as well?

Got round to doing this today.

Hooked up pc and loaded up the new firmware, unplugged kv box and plugged into TV in different room and did a Software Update (updated fine) Then did a scan and only picks up 7 channels, from range 2000 to 2007 and none are viewable.

                  What am i doing wrong?
