trying to put firware on message keeps coming up downloading not requested can any 1 help

it means your com ports on the pc is not communicating with the com port on the box

setup your com ports and try again

also ensure you are using a NULL MODEM CABLE and ideally use xp on a desktop pc with a built in com port, not vista , not win7 and definitely NOT any usb to serial adapters

switch the krypt on using the rear switch after starting the d/l

ye i was useing a usb to serial adapter thats probably y

I used USB earlier and worked fine. Just make sure you select the right port I was 18. Just checked through device manager when I connected the box to the laptop

I am having the same problem, i have a null modem cable connected to xp pc via the io connector on the rear on the pc is this correct or do i need to purchase a rs232 pci card to get the connection there is only one i/o connection set to com port one all the settings on com1 are as per forum instrucions but it wont connect

Mnaged to sort it with usb to rs232 cable from maplins
