Have just purchased a Kryptview A780.

My current System info is.

Date 26/10/2010
Software version Evoloution v1.7.00
H/W version 3.0.0

do I need to flash as per instructions in post above or can I update it by the SW update?

Any info appreciated.

Try sw update, should work.. If it doesnt then you may have to flash it using a null modem cable

S/W update kept failing

there is no s/w update on 2010 firmware,and a new box is sold as fta only,it needs the null modem cable and flashed first.

try rebooting network and box,and you do have it connected by lan cable?
