    A780 connection problems?

    Hi there... I am still stuck trying to flash A780; I have 'acquired' a PC with a null modem parallel port after unsuccessfully attempting to flash it with a USB adaptor. My first question is;

    1) At what point should I power on the A780? Is it while the PC is booting up? Before I launch the DownTool?

    Next question is;

    2) In Device Manager, what should the A780 look like? Should I see something next to the Ports (COM & LPT) tab? At the moment, with the A780 powered up, or powered off the three tabs I have in DM are not showing the KV at all? Is this normal?

    Despite my best attempts to search for solutions, I cannot get past the 'The downloading is not requesting' message and this is with both the NULL MODEM and the USB adapter attempts. I am using Win XP Home Edition at the moment, but was using Win 7 when trying to fix this with the USB adapter.

    Thanks for reading.

                  When you say in the instructions are you talking about the video above or the instructions that come with it................
                  I know you believe you understand what you think i said
