    if anyone could shed some light It would be greatly appreciated

    I have a kryptview A780 , It is running on the (april 2012) It was working great 2 miles away in Speke Liverpool and now I have moved to Halewood I just cannot for the life of me get the thing working.

    I have done the factory reset and scanned it and, then n completions switched it off at the back for 30 seconds and then when i switch it on all i get is the scrambled message or no video,

    the only thing different i think is virgin have installed me a new router, I have tried a new ethernet cable, and putting the signal straight into the box without splitting it and still no success, not even sure were the cables plun in now iv swopped them round that much,

    do i need an ethernet cable goin from modem to router ?? obviously i need one from modem to kryptview,

    please help me :-(

      you are well out of the loop m8 you missed 2 net updates by s/w online updates and factory reset/rescan you may have to do it again the next day and not do 2 updates one after the other.net ids are also changing


      yes you will need lan cable from router to modem

          April 2012 firmware still works, no problem

          Cable from modem to router is needed,a wired connection between router and box is best.

          Having moved areas maybe a different NetID is needed,
          NetId - 41008 (a030) - Liverpool TDN TRIALS
          NetId - 41016 (a038) - Liverpool TDN
          NetId - 40986 (a01a) - NGRHEE Knowsley

              thanks, when I go to software update, nothing happens. will I have to update it another way?,

              Im gonna be honest im pretty clueless, is it easy or should I try get someone else to do it?

              having said that the market in the dock not there anymore so I wouldnt know who to ask, when i bought it off the market I got the guy to come and install it? oh i did try the knowsly one and still nothing,

                  try powering off box at rear,remove coaxial and leave the lan inserted and power on box then try a s/w online update,its best to update box as if you miss any you will have trouble ahead.
