thanks for the reply, i used the firmware on this site dated july 2012.
used the box to download s/w update and tried scanning with the ethernet cable pulled out, now the box wont let me out off the installation menu, tried pulling plug and pressing exit.
      any ideas, rescan, reflash.

      rescan took care of that..
think i have found problem just need guidance to fix,i checked my software by pressing menu-system info it says 10/11/2012 pv4.1.04

      how do i upgrade please

Many Thanks for your patience and advice.
Have software pv4.1.05 installed now, done a scan.
Problem now is the box is freezing or showing scrambled channel, it will work for like 30secs then go off, any ideas.

hi benjy dont forget to do a factory reset each time you upload an image and before scanning for channels etc.

Been quietly lurking, learning what to do when it next goes down.
