HI I am really new here and trying to read as much as I can but there is some conflicting information and would like to as all that have the Kryptview box. After reading for hours I have come across that you need to cs with this box. Could some one confirm one way or another.

no m8 there is non of that with kv i think you may be on the wrong box m8 sat boxes are cs hope this helps

The boxes are cs receivers by design. In order for them to function you MUST plug them into an internet connected ethernet port (ie, your cable/adsl router).

I'm informed that there is no subscription necessary for access to the server (nor will there ever be for the life of the service) - simply purchasing the box and connecting seems to be all thats necessary.

Note that you obviously also need a 'live' cable feed which usually means you have to subscribe to your cable operator for some service
