How long should sw update take?

Hi guys,

I'm new to KV but have had ev and sv over the years, Ive managed to flash using usb & null. I read it was easiest to flash using an older version and sw upload once connected. so i used
24042011.rar

But its been searching for new update for a few hours now. ive re-booted, dissconnected coax, tried again, re scanned & picked up all channels but cannot seem to get it to update, any ideas what I could be doing wrong please guys??

This the exact problem I'm having too. Been stuck on "Searching new update....." all morning but doesn't seem to do anything.

I've just read your post & thought the same, Maybe its not me then, perhaps its just slow at updating? Mine arrived this morning so wasn't sure how long it's supposed to take x

urs only arrived this morning, was it pre-flashed?

No Asek, i flashed using the firmware on here, had no problems with that part

in downloads was the file i used x

when i tried to update had same problem all i did was turn box of then back on again at the back it updated straight away

Tried that a few (dozen) times its just not searching, also re-booted the rest but still no joy, Thanks though x

try it later maybe all i can say.

think that file is two old for updating now,try using this one for the 780 and update from that,factory reset/rescan also.

slow update

hi everyone , i had this problem not so long ago and thought something was wrong with my box but it turned out that the server was down and so lots of people posted about not being able to update to the latest s/w update online. you will have to wait until tomorrow or the next day possibly before trying again and dont forget to do a factory reset before scanning once you have uploaded successfully.

How long should sw update take?

the update starts off pretty quickly showing a progress bar for the s/w update then secondly it unpacks the software and then thirdly it installs it a message shows warning ......do not turn off box at this time and the box reboots after a successful upload and installation !

there is a new image available! inthe downloads section for apr (2012) for a manual upload to your kv A780 boxes. dont forget to do a factory reset after and before doing a scan for channels etc.
