I've had my a850 for a fortnight and I'm in north lanarkshire too. When I set the box up initially two weekends ago everything worked fantastic, minimal glitching and pretty much every channel working.
I know vermin have had loads of problems in the area and there is still one fault outstanding which relates to catch up tv so im hopeful that when everything is resolved the box will revert to what was a very good service.
For info I'm on the correct net id and provider, scanned from main feed, am on latest firmware for the a850 (1.07), and have tried various different splitters.
Most of the channels are still working tho, so hopefully it's just a vermin issue.
