Struggling to update KV

Trying to down download the latest sw/update but reboots then starts downloading and freezes on download started?
All channels say scrambled or no video.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as it has been down for over a week!!

hi there it might be a good idea to do a factory reset on your box first then upload an old image first using the downtool program and a null modem cable etc etc. if successful do a factory reset of the box and then try a scan for channels etc etc . if the box responds correctly do a factory reset again then try to hook it up to a network then download the newest software again ! it may be that you flashed your box with a corrupt image or it wasnt uploaded successfully first time around so its best to try again from scratch ok... let me know how this pans out for you ok ?? good luck !

Im trying to do an online update. I have got 2/04/2011 version 4.0.0 currently on it.

i had trouble doing an online update with thaqt firmware last week..

try doing a manual update to 2012 firmware if you can.

box needs 2012 firmware for s/w online update to work,people are getting lazy and not checking for new updates.

Thankyou for your help much appreciated. I flashed the box with the 23/04/12 version and all channels are back up and working hardly any glitching at all Tried to run the sw/ update to get the November update (latest one) and it freezes on dowload started?? Will the bin file be available to manually flash the box on here soon?

no it wont be out for manual use only by s/w online update,try a factory reset first then power off box at rear and remove coaxial cable also a good idea to reboot network,power on units and try an online update again and when box reboots ,scan for channels with coaxial plugged in again and not through splitters.

SO i updated to the new firmware tried to do a software update but still had the same issues this was left to try over night on Friday. Powered the box off on saturday night and it ran though fine. Try again as this was an issue in Bristol
