im fine paying rb my money for web. i pay 4 10mg get 20 so cant complain. kv tv 4 free.
but is there a way i can ditch the phone line rental. dont even use home phone.... would cut best part of ?14.

when i ring thvm they say NO. is there a way around?

if they use phone lines or its a package deal i think you have to pay,going wireless like vodafone etc =no line rental.

I had phone line, BB & TV for three years and just recently cancelled my phone and TV.

The only thing stopping you binning the phone that I can think of is if you are in a 12 month contract, but the recent price increases get you out of that.

If you don't mind being tied to a contract though its actually cheaper to keep the phone with your BB as you get a bundle discount.

BTW cancelling your phone line will not save you the value of the line rental. It sounds like you are already getting a bundle discount so if you cancel the phone line you will lose your discount and it will prob end up costing you more. It's just the crazy way they structure your bills to try and tie you into as many services as possible.

cheers to you both, I had assumed that paying for BB package that does not use phone line had the BB line rental included in price, but as you say it doesnt. they already deduct the value of the current line rental charge to then give me what seems like a mega deal for BB. sucked in. but then i borrow tv back from them so swings and roundabouts !!

could always get a chipped modem (cloned mac address) then ditch phone line and BB sub.
Not recomended though always best to pay a little towards V'min so it keeps the status quo.

If you dont subscribe to anything at all then there's always a good chance they will disconnect your cable feed altogether. That seems to be standard pracice in my local area although others say it rarely happens in their area.

As for modems, well, thats becoming more and more difficult on an almost daily basis as vm move through a series of upgrades.
