s/w update problem

im having problems trying to do a software update via krptview 780 box. the page just says searching new update when i try to update software through instalation page.

i currently have software 10/11/2012.

anyone else having problems trying to update software?

na only got free to air channels.

did a factory reset yesterday and tryed to rescan after watching sky sports go glitchy and everything has went tits up.

had a tivo box installed by virgin last friday coincidently.

took box around friends house. he did a factory reset then updated channels. i only get fta channels and he gets all the sports channels etc. only difference is his software is the 11/11/12 whereas mine is 10/11/12.

hopefully my box will update software soon rather than being stuck on searching for new update.

it should work on that as it works on the april firmware,how was box originally flashed null modem cable?is your lan cable hard wired?
try powering off at rear,remove coaxial cable,and reboot network and power on box then try the s/w online update again.

mine finally updated yesterday but after a week of trying.
took about 5/6 attempts it would start then freeze about a 1/4 of the way ,its dated 6/11/12 but working perfect all channels and no freezing at all.

Box has worked fine for 2 years. Dont know how was originly flashed. What does LAN hard wired cable mean?

Virgin TiVo box is working fine in other room.

I have fta on kryptview only. Tryed switching box off at rear but it still won't update to new software.

Signal is 77 quality is 93

so seeing this i wonder if a bug was found on the last 2 updates as its a new date??

I'm hardwired.

Tried switching box off at mains with super hub, still no joy.

The super hub was installed on Friday by virgin and box had all channels working after this. However yesterday I tyres a factory reset and rescan and everything went tits up.

Don't know how to see if I have an ip address.

sounds like you may have scanned wrong provider if no channels are found,for people with bad memory use this.
