personally i need a booster to get some of the channels to work properly. I also use the booster as the splitter.

        Might help. Might not?

                Signal level is low !

Every time you split the signal you effectively half the level plus extra loss and noise because of the connectors. If your signal level is already low then splitting may send you below the receive threshold.

Note that the KV (& most other boxes) dont really give an indication of actual line signal level on their signal indicators but rather a display of some function of their auto-gain/afc settings. You really cant infer anything about actual line levels from these numbers except to know if its high then it will likely work, if its low then it wont (not always the case as you can get high signal readings on certain frequencies without any transponder being active at that frequency).

The Quality display is simply some function of the number of uncorrectable bit errors received. Its often displayed as a number where 100 is no errors and 0 is no data recovered. The function, however, is not usually linear so although a quality level of 70-80 sounds low it may actually indicate only a relatively small bit error rate.
