during initial scan only handful channels scanned

    Hello,

i have used my a780 before without any problem, but now moved houses within the same area and trying to rescane channels.
i have reset the unit, then power off.
after that selected ntl and then type as network.

it showed the network id and then i selected i. after that it added several channels.

after the scan i can only see in the channel list fta ones. i.e. for example no sports, movies, internation. channel names are not apearing at all.

fta ones are in the list and can be watched. any suggestions.

broadband connection from virmin is working fine!.
    thanks a lot

if you moved and stayed in the same area, why rescan? obviously your now on a different id, so try a different one

        many thanks for the replies.

yes i shouldnt have done the rescan. it was a mistake. this house didnt had tv, only had broadband.

so tomorrow i will feed the direct connection to the box and will scan again to see whether it will show all the channels.

it seems at the moment, box only managing to see certain frequencies!!!

        i will update tomorrow

        thanks

Thanks a lot for your Help.

I opened the existing splitter only to find it had a ancient splitter, i.e. one side state FM and other TV. so no broadband at all.

so i replaced that with a bit more modern one and the problem gone.

          thanks
