WD Elements 3tb external hdd

bought this drive for recording on my a850 HD formated it to fat 32 but when i plug it in the a850 crshes with the number 0 or 1 any idas

How much did you pay for the drive if you don't mind me asking and is it externally powered.

payed just under 90 and yes it has a plug to power it

Have you tried both usb ports.

Try creating a folder on the drive for the box to read.
