Not sure there is one, the box should get the network info regarding all transducer frequencies and modulation modes from the broadcast NIT tables. Thats why its important you set the correct NetId as per your subbed box.
The QAM256 modulation mode is substantially more fussy about signal levels than the QAM64 mode. This is because there are now 256 potential quadrature phase states per bit rather than the previous 64 phase states so noise becomes much more of an issue. Whereas a signal error of >10% is tolerable at QAM64, it has to be less than around 3.5% at QAM256. Any greater than 3.5% and your bit error rate (BER) will start to rise at a rapid rate towards an unusable signal condition.Comment

If your problem is related to timing jitter noise causing qam256 decode errors then only VM can fix the problem. If it is the problem then you'll likely see similar problems on your subbed box, in which case you give vm a call and get them to sort it.Comment
