think both the same but stick it into tv and see if any channels work.

if the box is glitching bad in one house and has no signal at another house then theirs a problem with the signal feed going into the house.
as its a 790t i wouldnt bother going any further as its known to glitch in most areas now.
i cannot really see an attenuator helping or at least it hasnt for me.
people now seem to say use an attenuator for any signal problem the only box this seems to help with is the phoenix hd850.
so my advice is if its a 790t and its gliching with the quality of the signal at 100% is just bin it.
sorry to be so blunt.
an attenuator will only bring the singal strengh down and its the quality of the signal thats the problem
