why would you try an attenuator on 780 ? you need 82% signal quality what does yours read if higher than that you need an attenuator more likly your signal is much lower or your with talk talk as box has been working ok recently

i tried it because a few people on forums said it worked for them. and it only cost 4 quid, so worth a try i thought.
my signal is 77, no im not with talk talk.

no m8 a few have tried with limited success with 790 wont help 780 only a few with weak signal can have succes with an attenuator normally 30db to bring down the 100% q that the 790 has they can get sports but movies still bad

sorry m8 works fine on superhub if wired, the only issues with superhub is its wireless but as you say some turn of the wireless and connect a netgear router to it and use netgear for wireless, there is a firewall you can turn off which can block some applications but left on wont cause glitching on kv

starview worked fine on superhub so did kryptview i think the problem is the box have tried everthing suggested in this forum to no avail dont no what else to do .tried an attenuator this reduced the signal from 88 down to 56 but made no differance to the freezing and glitching. tried a router same result.tried rebooting box and internet nothing doing.

can you try a little experiment try a factory reset and scan your provider and try a different net id,sometimes where you are that net id is wrong.

some areas may have high or low signals so things vary

now im using a netgear router and my virgin hub is set to modem only, it has reduced the glitching drastically, to the point where it doesn't bother me, thanks for the tip about the virgin super hub.
