things are never as straight forward as we hope, sometimes trying different things will give different results, later one could try another net id,and always factory reset/rescan from main feed.

have you put the variable attenuator onto the box?

reading back again any m8s in area have a providers box to get the net id from, maybe your net id is not what your scanning on.

Not sure if it's just Manchester area but both 780 and 850 very glitchy to the point of being unusable worst the 780 has been in all the time I have had it.

Have even been advising friends no to buy in to it until it's a bit more stable. Something has changed in the Manchester 2 & 3 area but no idea what.

Hi guys, whats the ideal signal strength ?
Iam getting in the region of 82 - 88 strength, maybe this is to much ?

82 to 88 signal is fine.

the change in qam has been happening all over the country for months now area by area and wont stop the box working.

if your area has changed from 64 qam to 256 qam (this is the reason the a790t suffered area by area)
the main reason for this change in qam is that more channels are now getting transmitted in hd and as hd carries more data hence the need for a higher qam to handle the larger compressed data.
so no the changes are not aimed at people with kv more to do with the fact that theres now more channels in hd so therefore require a higher rate of qam.
