What is it with Tuesday nights at 10.15pm?

As above. Just about every Tuesday night my box gives up the ghost on MTV at around 10.15. The only reason I know this is due to my ears being severely bashed by the misses calling the box nothing but a piece of shite due to Geordie shore shutting off.

Surely this can't be coincidence? It's happened every single time I've been early shift (every second Tuesday including tonight).

I can't think of anything that makes any sense. If it happens next time I'm early shift I'm getting the blame of it though, I'm already getting daggers with it

Approx 22.15 last night (around the same time every Tuesday) the picture cuts and I get "Scrambled channel". Internet is fine, router is fine, network is fine... everything. Check other music channels and they are all the same, I didn't bother going any further as SWMBO had the remote and she was breathing fire as it was . 2 minutes later it comes back on, 1 minute later it's off again, 5 minutes later it comes back on and it's been fine ever since.

This is the danger. Apparently it didn't happen last week (I wasn't in), it's only happened 2 weeks ago and last night. On both occasions I've been looking seriously bored while sitting on my laptop with said shite in the background. I just KNOW that she thinks I'm messing with something to get it to cut off .

Check the update schedule on your laptop. Chances are that it performing some update task that requies huge downloads. Microsoft, for instance, are well known for their 'patch Tuesdays'.

Its also possible other users that share your node/ubr are also downloading these patches and causing local internet congestion or even the effect of worldwide congestion, because of these same patches, causing high latency.
