Seems to have returned. Some kind of intermittent problem I guess, not going to read too much into it. Anyone else having this issue as of today please don't give me any of the on going issues just this recent development will be fine.

Try this download the official software for said box create a folder and store the relivent firmware and also the Down Tool if you don't already have said items by now when you have already deleted all the channels via the 'User Preference Menu' & Then tab up to the 'Instulation Menu' reset the box back to the 'Factory Defualt Setting' one should always go through this procedure when flashing the memory of said box so as I was saying once one has reset the box back to the factory defual setting flash the memory using the official firmware for said box after connecting the box back up with your tv go to automatic scan in the instulation menu and scan the box it should come back with 47 frequency's & 55 channel numbers including 37 radio stations after the box has gone through set procedure hit exit then press menu button on the remote go into the 'User Preference Menu' & Then scroll down to 'Sat Edit' option then press the right hand side tab on the remote if nothing appears don't worry scroll up to the 'Laungage Option' and hit select change the second laungage option to English just for fun using the right hand side arrow on the remote then press back up and then scroll back down to the Sat Edit option in said window select appropriate provider and then press the right hand side arrow on the remote another menu should appear ranging from one to fifty five (1-55) use the down arrow on the remote to scroll down said list what one is looking for here is 1) The S.R. & 2) The QAM for ones area/location take a pen and paper and take a note of when said SR & QAM are different from the rest on said (1-55) list and obviously take a note of the main SR & QAM numbers for ones location after taking a note of said of said important info use the back up button to go back intothe preference menu then scroll to delete all channels then after that use the back up button back into the main menu and go to the installation option and reset the box back to factory default setting after that re-flash the memory using the Nov 2012 firmware after that go back to re-scanning the box back in using the Instal option under Automatic tuning and then the Green button for Auto select if the said frequency list comes back with 1-8 don't worry because the box is taking note of said frequency's anyway once it's completed said task then exit and back to menu button and into the user preference menu and down to stat/edit option and then using the right hand side arrow on the remote bring up said frequency list and if the said menu is displaying 1-9 don't worry change said frequency SR & QAM to the most common SR & QAM numbers using ones remote like scroll down right arrow for tabing side-ways down arrow for obviously scrolling down said menu list and tab to SR number and change to the correct frequency then right arrow to tab to the QAM and change the numbers to the correct frequency by typing the correct numbers on ones remote and then once one has changed the SR & QAM press the 'Okay' button (the middile round button) inbetween the arrow buttons to save said changes once that procedure has been completed back up out of the user preference menu and then back into the installation menu and select automatic scan via the green button by the way patience is a virtue here with this box manouver but believe me it works or as the Guinness advertisement states all good things come to those who wait as I was saying right you will probably notice the first screen menu in the intallation menu has slightly changed don't worry that is normal you will also notice when the box is scanning in this window it will come back with messages like it already exist's don't worry that's normal procedure as well after say five minutes or so you will see the box stating for you to select Okay which one does promptly which will take you into another window where said box goes through more scanning with messages like already exist's already exist's for about six or seven times then eventually it locks into the correct frequency 47 in total and then boom it starts scanning through 1-55 it will probably come back with around 470-475 tv channels and around 37 radio stations after it's done this hit exit and then go back to the menu button and then to user preference menu and then to sat/edit and then to the frequency menu and then remember the piece of paper with the SR & QAM notes and scroll down said 1-55 list changing said numbers over accordingly to said list and remembering to select okay for each of the necessary changes once that's done use the back up button to come out back into the main menu then go to 'Settings' and swich Off previous channels list from said menu then back up out back into tv mode using the green button to bring up channel catergory list and using the up and down buttons just below the exit button on ones remote to scroll down the channel ctergory and listings list over all this option/procedure takes about twenty to thirty minutes to complete and to get into the Installation and User Preference menu password is four Zero's let me know folks how you get on and if by doing this task does it make any difference to ones viewing pleasure

Don't want to seem rude ... but that big box of text is way to hard to read

try breaking it into smaller bits like sentences and paragraphs
