have you flashed the box before,if so repeat the process with what you used before,if not is that a usb adapter and null modem cable where you load the cd disc first,if yes all done did you have box powered off at rear first then press download and power on box.

Hi mate. Yeah i flashed it years back. Not really too clued up on this sort of stuff to be honest. The reason for re-doing it is because i missed the s/w update through the box. It's the USB converter thing with the CD yeah, i did everything it said, turning it off and on when told etc. Bit stuck at the min Cheers for your reply btw.

Can't remember how or what i did last time i flashed it to be honest either it was many moons ago when they first came on the scene .

The PC i originally flashed it on is in the big PC heaven in the sky unfortunately, is this an issue ? When i checked what port the converter was on in the device manager it said port 8 so i changed it to that in the loader. sometimes its giving me the downloading is not requested message and sometimes its saying about paramiters and all kinds ...Like i say im not too clued up...sorry for the vague information mate. I appreciate your help.

Hi everyone, thanks for your replies i appreciate them, ive been busy with work today so couldn't reply. I've done exactly what's been said and still no joy. I fear it could be this USB converter ? Its recognised by the laptop though and its working correctly in the device manager. Finding a pc with the port for the normal cable these days is like trying to get blood from a stone . I'm pretty much out of ideas at the minute. If anybody else see's this and has any other ideas anymore advice would be gladly accepted. Cheers.
