Whilst the boundaries may change over time the Netid's themselves rarely change. Most people have the same NetId now that they had 10 years ago.

Aquiring a NetId list for ex-cw/ex-tw areas is pretty simple for anybody with a dvb-c card in their PC. Simply capture and interpret the NIT PID. For ex-NTL areas VM only transmit a single local NIT rather than a full table of all NIT's
