its all over all the other posts that no one reads, box needs to be manually updated by firmware in downloads to may 2013

some boxes updated online others did not,one poster was told april 12 would not update but his did so unsure what it was,if an online did not work you have to do it manually.
old firmware may have been switched off and if so 1-5 only.

ah yes box to box works, forgot how to do that years ago hehehe as no use for it now, seen it posted on another thread.old firmware might have been switched off lately so only would not work from then.

I think if you could read the code you would find two server addys. Each update removes one and add another so if you miss an update it doesn't cause any problem as the second keeps it going. Now if you miss two updates you have lost your life jacket and nowhere to go so its back to basics of manual flash.

that sounds very plausable and that means it can happen again ,a regular check for a s/w online update will be needed or back to cement shoes

                    aye thats the other thread

Personally, I would attempt SW update once a week. Wont do any harm but could save hassle for those who cant lay bricks with morter and use lego.
