people are still having problems updating simply because they are using older firmware,flashing box by the last usb file allows box to online update.
so you need the last usb file then flash box with that ,when done do an internet update/upgrade
and dont touch anything until box reboots
factory reset/default and scan from main feed no splitters/boosters or variable attenuators.

Have you tried doing a online sw update by selecting Internet Upgrade in Menu

i bet you have a superhub as that stops it from updating

Please help me too. I have a Phoenix A850 and I have tried to do an Internet update via the box and the box freezes. I too have a superhub. What can I do please??

You can't do anything other than wait it out I'm afraid. All a850s are off (from reading various forums including this one). Noone knows why, when or if they will be back on but given the recent decline of the service on the a780 it's not looking great. You never know it might be back on tomorrow better than ever. There's no point in reacanning or trying to update the software. It looks like the server is probaly down as everyone is affected. Let's hope it's just temporary.

850`s off and will be for the foreseeable future, all I can add is don't bin them they will not be obsolete, I will answer no more questions, don't shoot the messenger.
