    Help with 850HD

I have just purchased the 850HD and downloaded the software on to a USB stick and flashed it using the RCU. Then I have scanned the channels using telewest, but all the channels are still locked???? Have I done something wrong?

box is scanned using coaxial cable and as you have found channels good, you also need a lan cat 5 connected to router same as pc,power off box modem and router for 30 seconds then on it should connect.

              Hi

The LAN cable is connected I have done what you have said, but the channels are still locked, Is the firmware ok? I had an A780 before and that worked fine, and I could do the software upgrades over the internet. I have just tried also putting the A780 back on and it works fine. What else could I try?

                Hi

Is it correct that when I scan the channels there is a dollar sign next to all of them? At the moment I am using a homeplug in the room were the box is could that cause a problem? Although I used the same homeplug for the A780 without any problems??? In order for the firmware to unlock the channels should I bring the box downstairs and connect it directly to the wireless router for a better connection? If that works will I still have the same problem upstairs when I plug back in the LAN cable via the homeplug?

                Thanks

recheck the date is july, homeplugs should be ok as you have tried the 780 and it works, try powering box modem and router off for 30 secs ,then on and give it a min to connect and check for flashing light at port to show activity.

you can also try it direct to router to check connectivity.
