Wonder if Ian will take it back to FTA then update firmware from there, you will still have to scan your for your area when it's returned.

did you use this file as it comes up as 2012 which is wrong as there are 2 in downloads.
a780 2013 firmware - Downloads - Digital Kaos =i think wrong file.

I tried all firmware even FTA firmware and nothing, so I dont think its a firmware problem

Too late! I told ian I updated the box via lan. Hopefully he will flash it back himself to try it. Rule out any potential mistakes on my part but I did try the fta and nothing happened

it does sound as its the box as you have gone through all that kaos .

I don't like doing customer support on an open forum but I can confirm that the box has arrived with me today, connected it up and scanned with the firmware that was on it, did not need to do a factory reset and it finds channels OK. There is no fault with the box. I test every box before they go out, so I know they are OK. It must be a signal issue

I appriciate ian testing the box for me. It must be an area fault with stafford anybody want to buy a week old a780 box off me? Or know where I can sell it

Its pretty self explanitory thouth, and as said above, I had a 700c box, so no stranger to setting them up. Must just be a problem with our area.
