    850HD Channels

    hi

    ive just received my sparkling 850hd.

    plugged it in where i used to have my old 780 - now upstairs and playing no problem.

    the issue is this.

    when i plugged it in i expected to have no software on it at all. but it did!!!

    i then searched for channels. i'm in the old Telewest area Preston1/2. i scanned just as i would with the older unit.

    the scan says i have over 350 channels. i go to the epg and i'm missing the HD channels for sly 3,4 and f1 there also seems to be other
    channels missing as well.

    also sly 1 as i type this message locks up on occasions interrupting my viewing pleasure.

    i have looked around the site and looked at other blogs. i think ive done everything im supposed to do.


    HELP!!!!!!!

      are you sure vm provide them,would think not correct net id and you scanned from main coaxial feed.think sly 1 does have issues.

          I was wondering because when you scan the a780 those channels are shown but not on the a850. i have been reading about the attenuator could that sort the sly sp1 problem.

              no as the signal maybe weaker and on the 780.attenuator was for older boxes with bad glitching like a patterning on lower screen,newer units supposed to have been fixed.

                  the reason you are missing ssp 3 and 4 in hd is because you cannot get these channels in hd on cable so everyone is missing them
