Indeed I agree with both posters comments, but not all problems are hardware related. So my opinion errs on the side of there are two sides to any "server" related problem, hardware and no-where

Joking aside, I think the last few posts are a good indication of reliability to any cable box tied to a server in the UK marketplace. The OP will take the plunge based upon a forum full of threads based on both past and presence experiences of this particular box.

glitching is server related of that I'd stake my house, all the rest of the info however well meaning is incorrect, someone or something is not working to capacity nuff said.

you had to use a variable attenuator on the 850 because of recent changes by vm a much higher signal which would cause glitching.

glitching is mainly 80% ish caused by server issues but say for example a cable has a nick in it that will cause glitching a fault with the box can also cause glitching a loose connector say braid touching copper wire can also cause glitching.
so really best to use common sense if your box is glitching really bad try it at another address..
or and if its always server related why on earth does the a790t glitch constantly when a a780 doesnt so that isnt server related is it

thats strange must have had over 20 kvs sent that glitch then after reflowing a surface mount ic inside the tuner oddy the gliching then stops even the fta channels were effected and the fta channels dont reley on the server
