Duplicate Channels

Hi all,
I have had a few duplicate channels appearing on my A780 , 515 (Sky Sports News) springs to mind.
If I do a factory reset and automatic scan will it tidy this up and just show one channel?
Bad glitching for a few days in the Wolverhampton area aswell , could the factory reset/rescan help with that or is it just "one of those weeks" ?

Not sure about the glitching getting sorted, but a factory reset new scan should get rid of duplicate channels.

why not just delete the channels you don't want.

Because I am a technical divvy and I am scared to do that ! LOL . I actually did the whole factory reset and scan and the duplicate channels have gone now AND so has the bad glitching I had for a couple of days. This is probably just coincidence though ?

Sorry to resurrect an old thread here but I have got the duplicate channels again (1 of each works and the other has scrambled on it) and was just wondering if someone could tell me how to just delete certain channels individually please?

ur better doing a default and a rescan to get rid of duplicate ones.

Oh what have I done ! Went into settings , installation , factory default setting and pressed ok (is this where I have gone wrong?) and then back into automatic search. Now I am sure last time I did this at this point I had to choose wolverhampton 2 somewhere but nothing like that is coming up? I have a really bad feeling I have done something fatal here ? HELP !!! Should the tv type be pal and Is the network I choose 1ntl and is the search type network?

Looking at some previous posts I am thinking that the problem here is that I have lost my net I'd when I did the factory reset or have I got that totally wrong? I just don't know why I mess, should have just put up with the duplicate channels.

All sorted. I did another search around the forum and actually found out how to do it. The problem was simply I couldn't find Wolverhampton 2 anywhere , green button was the key. Anyway thanks to this site again and everyone on it, I will have decent tv over Xmas, other than the Ashes of course!! Lol. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year
