    no r232 port

Hi I recently got a new computer which has no rs232 lead connection, I bought a usb adapter to link up but on the STB Editor i get the following message.

    cant open serial port com1
please check if the com port has the following parameters
    baudrate: 115200bps
    parity: no parity
    databyte: 8bit/data
    stop bit: 1

Please help as now i have no idea how to flash my 750 kryptview box, many thanks if you can help.

no, the software will assign the Serial>USB apator a COM port number when u plug it in, that code shows the software is trying to access COM1.

You'll either have to change the STB Editor software to match whatever COM port number the PC has assigned it OR Change what the COM Port number to 1 to match the software

Have a look in device manager, under Ports.
