Krypt 850 probs

Any advice pls lads
My buddy's 850 as gone of on him
He said he as factory reset rescan but only getting norm fta channels
I've told him the obvious solutions wich usually sorts it out, but still nothing, not happening for him
He's now told me that is super hub the blue light
At side as gone purple, would this be the problem ?
Anyone know what purple light means on super hub ??

Told him to bring is box over & try on my line & see if this dos it, I thought it might have something to do with purple light instead of blue
But he said is Xbox is wrking fine threw hub
Confusing like.

So hard wired this should still wrk fine as is Xbox does.
He not brought it over yet fir me to try but he's saying he's rescanned and pulled channels through but still scrambled, saying this am I right saying it won't need a reflash ?

need to know what firmware is on box or if it needs an online update,firmware in downloads also.
