Can someone please tell me why a A850 is priced over ?230 when a Skybox which can do the same thing when gift-loaded can be got much cheaper? The A780 too. I'd prefer the cable route as I don't currently have a dish installed on my house but the prices are putting me off.

people buy many skyboxes as build quality is bad/shite but sat boxes are more plentiful,cable boxes are are not as good sellers so price is dearer and box is hopefully better made and safety built in . -

I paid ?250 (posted) for my a850 over a year ago, ?50 for new cables, splitters and a yellow brick booster in am attempt to fix the glitching on some channels and finally ?30 quid for the PSU mod and I would still say it's worth the initial cost.
Without a doubt the main reason KV can charge so much is the lack of alternatives on cable whereas you have plenty of choice when it comes to sat.Comment

maybe because the kvhd is a on-off payment ie after you buy it theres no more payments left to pay were as a skybox f5 you need to carry on making payments every month year etc..
so in other words if you own a kvhd box for 3 years it will cost you the price you payed ?250 ish
if you own the skybox f5 etc and its costs say ?50 to buy plus ?100 is per year thats ?350 over 3 yearsComment
