help help on sw update

hi all i have just got a a780 i have put sw on to it and done a factory reset when i do a sw update it just stays the way it is and not thing happens can any one plz and i am also getting no sly on

There's your problem. You don't do a factory reset after loading firmware. A factory reset puts it back to the image it was on when it came out of the factory.

as the box was new there are no channels to delete as that what a factory reset does,first question is what firmware is on box as it looks like a date.factory reset does not change image only a reflash does that.

the sw update server has been down for a few weeks so you will be unable to update via lan there is may sw from last year that is working in the downloads and you can lan update once lan update server is back working

Issue at Ur end then cause it's been fine for past month done over 100 boxes without single issue on the server

id say that's complete rubbish, because I know its been down my end is fine.

as you have not said what firmware you loaded it could be wrong and cant online update.

here we go again u don't own one do you? all my firmware is up to date if you press sw update it will say searching for new update then you get (if it had been working like it wasn't up until today) Already updated me and Alex know it wasn't working.

that was aimed at shaunwall as other poster get a file from downloads but not the current one it wont online update as its the other bits that are not added into , was not your firmware or online i was on about asek,do i need to have a box to comment on? no i dont think so reading and thousands of posts with info you get forced fed .
looking for the next issue of here we go again
