can i record on to a toshiba external hard drive from a A850 box

and if I can do I have to reformat it from ntsc to fat32 any help appreciated

yes fat32 and make sure your powered hdd is not bigger than 500gb.
Use the front USB port behind the front door and use the timer to do the recording you should not have a problem then.

tried it lots off bad glitching on recorded programs any idea why ?

try another lan cable,or try rebooting box and modem,100% sure on correct netid.
