[QUOTE=guinness;247599]I am scanning via a 4 way splitter

Remove 4way splitter, use single PROV cable to BOX, scan & check chls.
When chls OK replace splitter. I f any chls. are poor or BB lethargic
            Replace 4Way splitter with 2way TAP(BB) splitter & 3way signal booster
            for 3 TV cable points.
With all info you offered Guinness you kept best wine for last.
Did it not occurr to you; If a signal split 4 ways just might weaken it

              Hi EAMO 2
I have already tried going direct into the provider cable before i posted this add.
from the provider cable direct - signal = 69
              from splitter number 1 into box 2 - signal = 65
              from splitter number 2 into box 1 - signal = 64
              nothing on splitter number 3 & 4

this is why i am so confused why box 1 has the most channels and the weakest signal?

yes i got handbook and true i have never got it out the box - i will see if i can find the box first and look at the hand book

thanks for all the tips and trick to all that have replied and read this thread.

And movies also there are a few threads on this today. They have moved to Nagra 3 and there is no fix for this at present.

i had the same problem with not being able to receive all channels on my 2nd box, my box is starview and for around 2 months i did not know what to do until yesterday i got a electric repair man out and he changed my cable wire that goes to the 2nd box.the cable i had was too thin and the cable he put in was more fatter.after i done a scan i was able to pick all channels on both boxes, hope this helps. check your wire connection first
