    a790 problem

    hey all,

    I was using a HD A850, but about a week ago there was storm and both my TV and A850 got fragged. The TV's getting sorted thru the insurance, but ive had to buy a new kryptview box. I bought a A790 off ebay which was going cheap, I went for the A790 because I had one fo these before I went over to the A850 and always ran pretty good. I flash the latest firmware as the one installed on it was FTA. Ive done all the scans and its found all the channels, the only trouble is that all the channels are freezing and stuttering, I had a look at the signal quality and its at 100 with the signal strength at about 70/75. when i last had a A790 it ran good, does anyone know what i could do to sort this problem out?

      that's the prob with 790 box m8 and theres no fix for it that's why they cheap should have paid bit extra and got 780 sorry for the bad news

          No worries pal.....thanx for letting me know........so you reckon the A780 should be alright then?

              780 has its problems but its pretty stable most the time but you do lose channels from time to time and you do get a bit of glitchin but yer main channels like movies and sport usually pretty stable had mine 5 yr been a good box and saved me a fortune

                  790 might work better in a stronger signal area but have been trouble since released.

                      I had a 790 before I got my 850 and it worked fine, that was just over a year ago. but i read some where that VM might of started doing something with the signal?
