    Going pear-shaped

    Hi guys,
Having a really bad time lately.
Had a KV 750 with the Iconn box for 2 yrs, np.
Then updates were discontinued a while back.

So, I got a vermin deal with the basic package, just to keep line open, while I thought of my options.
Got a cloud Ibox3, which I successfully bricked in only 5 days!
(Yeah, unbelievably easy to do that!) L.

Managed to acquire a DB800c, which looked promising, and so much harder to brick...
And? after 2 weeks of hair pulling and file transferring, I have become an ace on the use of Flashfxp, and DCC.
But it?s still not working, even with the aid of a long term DK member, the SOB refuses to do what it?s told...

So, clearly the thought of a ?New Improved? KV is sooo attractive.
(Jeezus, set up in minutes, and good to go!!!)

Anyway, thing is, the 850HD seems to be ?Delayed Indefinitely?, to UK suppliers.
Which kinda makes me wonder if they are having their own server problems too.
Maybe because vermin and friends have upped their game?
And at ?250 a time, gotta think about it.

A new 780 could be a better option, not bothered about HD too much anyway.
But the down time and glitching seems to be following the same path I had before the demise of the 750. Which re-inforces the previous statement.

Are any of you 780 owners getting any really bad probs, apart from the usual odd hiccups?

Hey, I can also offer a good deal on a 3 week old db800c..hehehe.
Or maybe I?ll just keep it to use for TS media.
    Or another bookend.

wonder does that box need a cable xml file or not scanning on right data.?have you looked in the dm cable section for more info.?

check on local area issues as most dont seem to bother and blame box,all cables good tight and no dodgy splitters, there was a lot of movement a week ago and boxes needed a new scan done.

Thanks cacti, I got the dbox sorted out today with the help of another long term member.
        Can't praise you guys enough.

Had to dig around myself too, but that is what it's all about innit? .

Yeah the KV is the soft option I know but at least with the DB, I get to choose a bit more.

        I will sleep tonight,,first time in 2 weeks..hehehe.
