hi guys i have the a790t i used the new update a780 f/w update - although im pretty sure the kryptveiw box will NOT connect to the internet once you have installed this update. is anybody else with this model having the same problem?

very few have it, it wasn't commonly used in the uk market place I think. -

thanks ASEK i know this sounds strange, but both ethernet lights flash on the back of the KV box i have tryed several a780 f/w's when i try check up wether traffic update or sw update it just wont connect to KV server or says not available. can you a ping test or ip config i just want to see if my box is connecting to the internet i think this is the route of all my KV box problems i have tryed various cat5 and cat6 cables and restarted my router , i have virgin media as my ispComment

honest opinion - i think the a780 box has a different lan chipset to the a790t - so when flashed with a780 fw its not installing the correct driver for the box - the only way i can prove my theory wrong is to find the original a790t f/wComment

null modem cable flash only 790 used the 780 firmware as there was never any just for the 790.maybe box and router need a reboot after you factory reset/rescan from main coaxial feed.Comment

it does work as that box was supposed to have come to ireland but because of low stock sold for uk and 780 firmware does work on the 790 like i said,no such thing as 790 firmware.
good luck emailing kv they wont answer.
