Kv A780 won't update via the remote. update Is painfully slow !!!

What a nightmare trying to update the box. Been trying to sort it out since Sunday and still having no joy. 28 hours and still on somewhere about 99%. Went up to bed monday nightand left it on all night updating. Got up this morning and still on 99%. Grrrrrrrrrrr. .... Anyone else having problems?

Take it as you've posted this, that I have to install the new firmware by some means which I have never done before on this box? In the past a simple update with the remote surfices. Is there no other fix?

Does this mean I can update via the remote now? Found a null cable but one end I can't use because it's male, & I need female to female which I aint got (unless I go out and get one)

Thanks mate. Trying to do it this morning again. 2 hours so far and in 99% ish. Just one tiny segment left.

Cant work this out. Almost finishes 99% and just hangs for hours and hours and hours on end !!!!!! grrrrrrrrrrr....

why do you think i say manual flash is quicker but needs old pc with serial port and null modem cable.

yeh having the same prob Gaz, someone did the original download and flash with cable for me, my remote download stops on 99% like yours, so i'm stuffed too

A friend of mine has one with the old FW on it. He turned it off because it was freezing , does this flash stop the freezing ?
