Thing is when u press start on the loader with the KV firmware downloaded u should press the front on button secs later on the KV yo turn it on...what i mean the bk on/off KV button should be on already...trust n do that...also make sure u got the right firmware 2001 I think...has to be latest...good luck emileah

Tanks Prince, to clarify - the on/off button to the rear of the unit should be on before pressing start??

Affirmative on/off switch at the rear of the box has to be switched on On then press the start on the loader then seconds later press the front right button at the front of the box (allow up to 4seconds) if you will. Try it and let see if this works if not it has to be your Coms or you have to check that u have extracted the download file with win.rar or other files extractors.

Still no joy! Is there a simple way to check i am using the correct COM port (com 2). Having said this, if i select a different port i get a message saying "cannot open serial port"
Definately the latest firmware, extractewd using WINRAR

Good go to your device manager and check what com is implemented for use in your pc...hope u know how to find it... serial ports click + to open and blah blah... once done delete the firmware u downloaded restart your pc/ unplug null then plug it again and repeat the process of downloading the firmware am sure u should be ok...mind u had to do it 3 to 4 times before it works

Restarting would be best practice then retry otherwise just be patient with the online one coz am sure maybe your anti virus n firewall coming to play like mine did until I disable it!

Hi, thanks for the reply, i have used the cable before, although not for a while (used on Kryptview A700). Seems to connect ok.
Have tried all of the above, just seem to get the same message. Not really sure where to go from here...have every fix i can think of, inclduding the on line update (this gets to 99%, as seems to be the common case)
